PhD and Postdoc Positions

Two Ph.D. and One Postdoc Positions: (announced in August 2023)

Informatik 12, at the Department of Computer Science at TU Dortmund University, is responsible for the entire education and most of research for embedded systems and real-time systems. The Design Automation of Embedded Systems Group in Informatik 12 (Prof. Dr. Jian-Jia Chen) offers

  • One job positions for Ph.D. (Wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiter) Positions in the areas of Real-Time Scheduling Theory by salary grade TV-L E 13 for the ERC Project PropRT.
    • The possibility to pursue a PhD degree exists. The vacancy shall be filled in 2023.
    • The applicants should hold a master/diploma degree in the areas of Computer Science, Informatics, or Mathematics
    • The working language is English.
    • Beneficial is basic expertise in one or more of the following areas: "Embedded Systems“, "Real-Time Systems", and “Real-Time Operating Systems“.

    • The applicants should hold a PhD degree in the areas of Computer Science, Informatics, or Mathematics
    • Publications in top conferences of real-time systems (e.g., RTSS, RTAS, ECRTS), theoretical computer science (e.g., SODA, ICALP, STACS), or formal analysis of cyber-physical systems (e.g., TACAS, CAV, ICCPS) are expected.

Student Helper (Hiwi) Positions

NVM Design

We are looking for student assistants (m/f/d) in the field of non-volatile momory system design. Required skills are knowledgeable C/C++ programming and the understanding of hardware near programming. Furthermore, the ability to work in a project team is required.
